Ingredients:
Sugar Cookie dough
Leaf Cookie Cutter
4 egg yolks – in 4 separate small bowls
Orange, red, yellow, green food coloring
Water
Small paint brush(es)
Sanding sugar or sugar crystals
Directions:
Make your favorite sugar cookie dough recipe. Using a leaf shaped cookie cutter, cut cookies and place on baking sheets. Set aside.
To each egg yolk add 1-2 drops of food coloring and stir to combine. Add water to each color (if necessary) to thin mixture to a spreadable consistency.
Using small craft paint brushes, paint colors on raw cookie dough. Sprinkle lightly with sanding sugar or sugar crystals. Bake as directed.
Note:
This recipe works well with ready-made sugar cookie dough. Just roll, cut, paint and bake!
